Can someone help me find slightly smaller tires for the RipCurrent?

I'm hoping to get something like 3" tires instead of the stock 4" tires for this bike, but I'm not too familiar with proper tire sizing and don't want to mess this up. If someone could help me understand what 3" tires will fit on this bike (if any), I'd greatly appreciate it!

I'm going to be riding trails & road with the SO through the summer and I think the 4" are a bit overkill.

The Vee Speedster is a 26 x 3.50 road tire. Its tread is for low drag road cycling.
