Buy in the UK or in Europe?

We are an active couple in our early 60s. Arrive in the UK next week to pick up out motorhome and will be travelling UK and Europe for the rest of the year. We want to get e-bikes to gie us some transport to and from the van. We've motorhomed in Europe before and realise that independent transport is necessary.
I'm tall (1.95m) ... my wife is 1.75m. We are quite used to cycling and did a 70km ride in Vietnam a few days ago (normal bikes) which included an amazing 35km downhill run!
We are looking for a halfway bike between a purely city commuter and an off road / mountain bike. We'll be riding mostly on roads, tow paths and some unsealed paths.
We know nothing about the UK/European e-bike market so woudl welcome any advice as to what and where we should buy. Is Europe a better place to buy than the UK or are prices much the same?
As we'll be travelling, its unlikely we'll be going back to the dealer we bought from, so reliability, ability to be serviced anywhere (in the unhappy event something gies wrong) is most important to us.
We'll be exporting the van back to NZ at the end of our trip.

The price for an ebike in Euro is likely to be that same price, but in GPB, so you are looking to overpay by a factor of 1.14 by buying something in the UK. The adapters that come with the bike will also have UK plugs, which again isn't as universal as having European plugs. To to sum things up, I'd recommend buying in Europe rather than the UK.
