I fine that I can not purchase the bike I want so I WANT to build it. 8 have decided on a mid drive and found a woman's bike that would work for me. It got a smaller frame 17 in . This make positioning a battery a challenge. Any information on this type of build would be appreciated .

BBS02 mid drive on an old Diamondback with a 48V12AH rack battery. I attached a board to the rear rack and screwed the battery cradle to it.
The battery is about 8-9 pounds, and ridden on street, I don't feel its weight at all.
There would be an advantage to buy a luggage rack designed for a battery, as it would retain the ability to carry things on the rack, but I can hang saddlebags over mine if needed.

End up buying a Raleigh Redux 26. 26 inch bike but it a size 13. The standover is less 25 inches and I think the frame will have no issues.

I bought one for the first electric bike. It connects to the seat post. The bikes seat post on the Redux is lower then the tire? Lots of stuff to check out when the bike gets here!
