Bottom mounted Battery on Medeo t10 plus will not fully latch.

Never had this problem before. The bottom mounted battery on my Medeo T10+ will not fully latch, hence the key can't be removed either. Had this bike for a year with no problems at all. Everything clicks into place but just shy of fully seating. 2 hour round trip to the dealer.
