I was using the Range Assistant to check if there was any difference between the Performance Line Speed and Performance Line CX motors and it showed a consistent 7-10% advantage to the CX. Sort of expected as you are likely to go faster with the Speed and thus have greater wind resistance, even though the average speed could be the same for both versions. I don't know if this is how they calculate it though, or if you have a similar speed profile in both, they will end up with the same range.
But it also showed a noticeable difference between the Smart System and System 2 where the new Smart System gives around 8% LESS range in Eco mode. I just used the standard configuration, but adjusted the Battery to be the same Wh in both cases and used either the Speed or CX motor.
Does anyone know if this is actually the case, or is it just another bug in the Assistant?
NB I did find one bug in the Assistant. If you select a Battery Range Extender for the Smart System, it also adds it to the System 2 calculations giving a huge and incorrect range. (Bosch tell us you cannot fit a Range Extender to the System 2 anyway.)
