Bosch Performance motor problem

I have a Corratec LIFE bike with a Bosch Performance motor. I have had it for 1 year and put approx. 2,200 miles on it. I ride it daily.
I have had no issues until now. Yesterday I was riding up a steep hill in either the sport or turbo mode. The battery had 3 of 5 bars (power) left on it.
All of a sudden I lost power (as if the battery had died ?) i was able to resume riding but the problem has persisted.
I'm guessing its a 2018 or 2019 Bosch motor - Performance line (not a CX). I purchased the bike from MOTOSTRANO/EBILELANE that no longer exists.
I was told I had a 2 year warranty on the Bosch motor. Any advice on what the problem might be before i get in the cue at a pricey E bike shop to evaluate
whats going on? Any recommendations for how I should proceed....or what the issue might be?

Take it to the New Wheel in Bernal Heights and have them service it.
It might cost you $100 but you will be able to use your bike for another 2-3 years.
Bosch should be able to support you and New Wheel has great service.

The most likely issue is loss of electrical contact between the battery and the bike. Try removing the battery and carefully cleaning the contacts at the bottom of the battery mount with some 400 grit sandpaper to make them shiny and new. It is possible that the upper unit, where the lock is, needs to have hex screws holding the locking mechanism loosened to slightly adjust the lock closer to the bottom to keep the battery from moving up and down and momentarily losing contact. This usually fixes the problem you describe. Application of a little dielctric grease to the contact will keep the connection healthier longer. If it is still under warranty, take it to the shop and let them do this. If not and you try it but the problem persists, I would take it to a Bosch certified ship for further diagnostics.

What display? If Intuvia, there are contacts under it that should be cleaned as well. I use a pencil eraser for that.

Yes to all 3 posts above.

IIRC there is also some adjustability to the Bosch battery mount. Has the battery started to rattle as though it might be a little looser in the mount after your 2,200 miles on the bike?

Thank you ALL ! / yes its an Intuvia display, also its a rear mount battery (old school) does that rear mont battery alter any of the battery contact recommendations?

All batteries connect through terminals. All battery terminals only work well through clean contact. Dielectric grease works well keeping all battery terminals clean.

After sanding the battery contacts (dielectric grease coming soon)......there were no problems the next day until the end of a 20 mile ride. While coming up a steep hill the power did cut out again. Battery was at approx. 60%. Could it be that because the motor was heated up from a long ride? I suspect that since I have a slide in rear mount battery - that gravity may be pulling the battery back away from the contacts. I will test that same hill w/ a cold motor and full battery.

I doubt a hill I have done over 1500 feet in a hour no problems on my speed motor.

Turns out it was the chain. the motor and the battery connections were fine.
Keep those chains lubed !
Thank you all for your input.

A dry chain mimicked a dead battery? Any more to the story?

Wasn't a dead battery, but the power would cut out (i'm guessing from the chain locking up?)
There was also some "crunchy" pedaling that would make sense regarding an un-lubricated chain.
A full Bosch diagnostic was done on the motor and it was fine.
I'm picking it up today...stay tuned. They said the chain was 80% worn (my bad)

Bad boy ...use Squirt lube after every long ride!
