Bosch engagement delay

Any knowledge out there in regards to a slight delay in engagement of the Bosch Performance CX Motor?
The delay only happens periodically, and may be as long as a couple seconds before engagement, while peddling.
Happens on the fly. Anybody experience this issue?

I’d say a couple of seconds is more than a slight delay. Never happens to the CX on my Allant+7.

Yes, under warranty. I am curious though on what causes this condition.

Lbs could not confirm what causes this problem. New motor waiting to be installed.
Curious still on why the engagement delay.
Lbs shops are early into the ebike thing. At times, I think they know less than the purchasers of the products.

This sounds similar to the problem that led to the replacement of my Performance Line CX motor.

In my case the the 'delay' was affecting the operation of my Rohloff internal hub gear. Providing one is working through an authorised Bosch dealer — Riese & Müller in my case — there should be no problem in receiving a replacement under warranty.

To digress: I have had a motor, display and 6 amp charger (R&M), plus a wiring harness (Trek) replaced without charge under warranty. That's the service one should expect from 'big name' brands. How utterly different from my experience with Kalkhoff!

This makes some sense to me. When I owned my ‘05 Corvette and spent a ton of time on Corvette forums, I knew more about my Corvette than any Chevy salesman and some of the dealer mechanics I talked with. If a LBS only sells a few ebikes a year, it’s tough for them to spend as much time reading about them as a retired owner does.
The good news is you have a new motor waiting to be installed and I’m sure the LBS has access to lots of technical service documentation to get it properly installed and set up.

The lbs wanted $160 to r&r the motor, wasn't too thrilled about this so I just removed the motor and exchanged it. Interesting though, there is now a fibre sealing washer, or the likes on the non-drive side, and a rubber seal on the drive side on the shaft. Ah Bosch, water ingress? Dust, mud, dirt ingress? Grease loss?
All possible factors to my bearing noise? So a couple issues to my CX motor, but glad I have a replacement.
