Bosch Battery stopped charging

I have a fairly new Trek Allant +7s with bosch 500 battery and 4a charger.

I recently purchased a solar generator (power station).. An Ecoflow Delta 1300.

My 2nd time using this Ecoflow I attempted to charge my ebike battery with it and it worked for about 5 minutes and the Fan on the Ecoflow started going full speed and the battery stopped charging. The Battery still works on my bike but now I can't charge it from my charger even on a wall outlet.

Is there a way to reset the charger?

I'm going to a Trek Dealer to see if it will charge from another charger..

I thought The Ecoflow should be able to handle that power but now I don't know where the fault lies.

Anyone knowledgeable in this area? I don't know if it was a fluke or if I should return this Ecoflow delta or if my Bosch charger was bad, or if the bosch charger should just not be used with the Ecoflow

There is no button on the power tube battery that I can find, unless you mean the one that is under the handle... I tried that

I hope the output from the Ecoflow matched the input required for the charger both frequency and power.
If there is any discrepancy, to protect itself, the battery goes into safe mode. Resetting the battery should work as @fooferdoggie suggested.

Your dealer can connect it to the diagnostic portal and get any error report and let you know the health of the battery.

Doesn't the battery have to be off the bike to do a reset like that? Never heard of a way to reset the charger. Shouldn't the title say you messed up with solar charger and now it won't charge? LOL

I really would have like to use my solar power bank to charge my e-bike but I don't trust it.

There is no power button on my 500, at least it’s not easily accessible via the Trek battery cover. You have to stick a thin object (I use a rivet) through an access hole to press the hidden button.

Congrats! Frankly, I’m amazed they gave you one. Chalk up another good customer service reason to go with Trek! Can’t imagine many of these online-only ebike companies doing that. I’m sorry to hear it might have been the solar unit that may have messed things up. Please keep us informed if you ever find out what happened.

Thank You Dallant for showing me that. I don't see why Trek wouldn't replace my charger, I paid 4k for the bike 3 months ago. The ecoflow delta has a power inverter and should charge it clean I assumed. The Ecoflow produces up to 1800w. The charger uses 36v at 4 amps. I am no expert on electrical but I figured it would be safe.

By the way, these Bosch chargers cost about 180 bucks, what a rip off!

I’m certainly not saying they shouldn’t. Only said that because you got one handed to you immediately. No having to call corporate to justify why, no waiting, etc. Lots of companies would spent time questionIng how this happened. On the other hand this kind of malfunction my be common.
