After hearing the great replies from this forum and doing some additional research I've come down to these two options (though I am open to suggestions).
My criteria:
- Bike for busy city commuting. Doesn't need to be incredibly fast since there are lots of people and stop lights. No major hills.
- Range of ~20 miles. The Biktrix is cutting it close, but you can buy a second batter pack, so that makes me feel better.
- Lightweight. Both of these bikes come in under 50lbs
- Cheap. Under $1,500 so both of these leave me room to make additions/improvements.
- Stealth-looking. The Biktrix seems to be less bulky than the Core, but both don't have the bulging pack. I am coming around to having a small bulge if needed for the bike if anyone has any other suggestions.
One major concern with the Biktrix is that it has no reviews online and I had a hard time finding any on the forum either. Would love to hear thoughts! On the other hand, Ride1Up seems to be well-liked across the forum, and to have very responsive service.
I had looked at the E-Spin Flow that many recommended here, but now the price is closer to $1,500 and I'm not sure it is worth the additional $500 for my use case. It is also quite a bit heavier.
I am by no means an expert, so would love an additional pro/cons or other models I may have missed. Thank you!
