Bike Rack on Stance

I’m considering buying a 2020 Giant Stance E+ 2 and have a question. In addition to using the Stance on trails, I would also like to use it as my ride for going to the market and other shopping. Is it possible to mount a rear rack on the Stance that I could use for carrying my Ortlieb pannier? Any recommendations? Thanks.

The clamp-on post type might work for you. Not sure how it would work with a dropper post if you have one.
We got a mtx one and it's a very nice setup. You may also need to lockout the rear shock.

I just installed the Thule Tour Rack and the side panels on my hardtail Phantom yesterday. Although it is a hardtail there are no mounting points for a traditional rack. Today was supposed to be a test ride but I was distracted by a couple of other things. Hopefully tomorrow.

My first test drive was about 10lbs of scrap lumber. More of a test of bulk not weight. I really wanted to see that the paniers would stay in connection and that my heel did not strike the panniers. it worked out well.

The only cargo I have carried so far is our weekend newspapers, so no serious weight so far. But I was ale to install my ~35 year old panniers that got me across Britain, France and Italy in 3 different trips.

On Monday I should be receiving a trunk bag. I will see how that sits on the rack and whether any rack adjustments are required.
