Hi all, a short introduction from this new member. I am Robert and live in New Plymouth, New Zealand. I volunteer at a community bike workshop called The Bike Kitchen. We try and stimulate cycling by helping people maintain and repair their bikes. We have got tools and knowledge, but we are all volunteers. With the advent of ebikes we need a different skill set and I hope this forum can help me with that. We have repaired about 3 ebikes over the last year and the percentage people coming in to us is growing fast. Hope to pick your brains and show you what problems we have solved. Thanks, Robert

Welcome aboard! Love what you're doing with The Bike Kitchen.

Please keep us posted. Many ebikes have proprietary electronics and software, and manufacturers and sellers aren't always helpful. But the folks here are, and many have extensive knowledge of these systems.

So when you need help, ask away! Just be careful with the batteries, battery management systems (BMS), and chargers.

Welcome Robert, we have a bicycle Co-Op that recently opened a location near where I live in Arlington, Virginia, USA, https://velocitycoop.org/ that I intend to start using for servicing my commuter. I’m on a trip to Adelaide, South Australia, currently, and am impressed with city’s bicycle Co-Op I first saw featured in a great video interview with the blokes who staff the site
