Stealth Camping with Steve. His DIY project had a breakdown. It seems like he didn't do much testing before "going for it". He thinks $2000- $3000 is way too high. I like that attitude but "more research", Steve!
I had friends who rode around Lake Superior in the mid 70's. Ran out of sew up tires on the North side of the lake and had to wait for UPS to bring them more.
That's when to make a camp chair and bed, I guess. In those days they must have been near civilization to get a phone call and delivery. On the other hand they could probably have hitched a ride in the back of a truck.
Well, less is certainly more when bike tripping. I have not done it for some time but the gear is much better these days. My brother talks of a canal bike trail in the DC area with nice bed and breakfast places along the way. That is more my speed these days.

They had devised a hammock and tarp sleeping arrangement that proved lightweight but uncomfortable. The bugs savaged them though they did stay dry. Guy in the third hammock up needed help getting in. Think they did 2,700 miles.

This looks like a gasifier stove that you can make absolutely free of cost, but it's fan powered and it costs a bundle for a kickstarter maybe 140 UK pounds. A burn! Good idea, but the DIY gasifier seems to burn with a more controlled flame with more complete combustion judging by the color. Still, this is a good idea. I like the "ember catcher"
