Anyone use an alarm? I’d especially like one with remote notification and/or iPhone compatibility.
Needing to park my ride in a visible spot but no way to monitor. Sadly pedestrians don’t seem willing to respond to an alarm. Id like a 150’ range. Is there such a beast, one that is reliable?

I have not yet found one that has good reviews. Been searching alarms and gps trackers and have not found what I am looking for either.

Been searching as well for 'Bluetooth Alarm Bike Lock': I have NOT tested this but it looks promising.

I’d like to know too. I tried a lock (Abus Bordo Alarm) without remote notification as I thought it could be ok for daytime use in the city. The alarm function was not reliable in the way that it was too sensitive. Sometimes it was triggered even if the bike was not moved at all, not even the slightest wind. Maybe my unit was faulty.
I remember reading about an alarm or alock called Cricket that had a long ”communication range” but I guess Bluetooth is not the best for a reliable connection.
If the alarm is also a lock I prefer having a key to open the lock over just being electronically open.

BTW, I currently use this https://www.amazon.com/Keni-Rechargeable-Anti-Theft-Electric-Accessories/dp/B01M2BOC7J/ mounted under the seat, with a remote control to enable it, to scare anyone that will move the bike. But you also have to be near audio range in case the alarm does not deter the thief (but as I said I'm looking for a 'Bluetooth 5.0 Low Power Alarm Bike Lock', preferably with a 6mo to a year battery life). They also have this version (not rechargeable) without the light for $14 https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Anti-Theft-Vibration-Motorcycle-Waterproof/dp/B0734QN8KR/

Without a mechanical/key option and just Bluetooth makes me wary! No backup unlock option sounds like an adventure waiting to happen.

I hear you.... but from what I have seen, most of those smart locks have the battery indicator on the app. So if you use the app and see that the battery is low, you should have nobody to blame but yourself if you still decide to lock your bike and your battery goes dead. So I don't consider it a problem. Plus, if the lock can be charged with a USB charger which depending on your ebike, you should have one available to you on the ebike and can recharge it even if it is low. So I don't seen it as a big problem as others do.
