Best e-bike for short city commutes?

Hi everyone! I'm new to e-bikes and looking for recommendations for a good model for short daily city commutes (around 5-7 miles each way).
I'm mostly riding on paved roads, but occasionally deal with a few hills.
Would appreciate any suggestions — especially for something lightweight and easy to maintain!

Welcome aboard!

Perhaps not what you wanted to hear, but your best bet is to test a few ebikes at nearby shops and then come back with narrower questions. That way, you'll have a basis for weighing any advice received here.

Meanwhile, you'll need to give us a lot more to go on to get recomendations that actually fit your needs — starting with your country, budget, and how much of the pedaling work you want to do.

You can clearly SEE he is in the UK it says so ????????

Considering the short distance, the perfect pavement in the UK, the lack of storage space indoors, I would recommend a Brompton folder.
If you have to jump a curb occasionally, or your city has potholes, a 24" wheel folder like the airnimal electric joey would be more the ticket. https://airnimal.co/products/joey/pendix-e-bike/ The warehouse is near Cambridge.
