Battery use.

Hello every one. I am new to this forum and electric bike riding. I have a basic single speed evo race. It has 5 levels of pedal assist. The first level is no assist. My question is if I have it on that lowest level where I get no assistance does it drain battery or is it the same as having the motor off completely?

I've ridden my bike on zero assist for several miles at a time, with the bike on so I still see the metrics displayed on the LCD and have never experienced battery percentage drop. So I would say the bike does not use power, except for the smallest amount for the display communication. The bike on zero assist still communicates from the battery to the LCD to the motor and torque sensor, but you'd have to ride for hours to see any real consumption.

Thanks J.R. That's a big help. From now on I'll just keep the display on every time I on the bike.
