I wonder what certifications they’ll use, and how they’ll prevent foreign shippers (or even some out of state ones) from delivering uncertified batteries.
i’m pretty sure the solid blocks of dumb battery with no BMS i used to use for heavy lift drones wouldn’t have met the requirements

The ordinance would amend San Francisco’s fire code to prohibit the sale, offer, or delivery of lithium-ion batteries or replacements that aren’t certified to meet safety requirements.
