Battery pack setup, 3 batteries deep, positive to positive and negative to negative

I'm totally new to this battery pack thingy and is wondering if anyone know if the pack in the picture works. (I am thinking of the 3 batteries deep, positive to positive and negative to negative)
 will this setup multiply the Ah up to 9Ah.


I do know that if i used only 1 battery deep x 11, it will work, but I am wondering if the setup will work , as it will save time and equipment.
