bad wire to motor

I have a ride1up series 700. The motor stopped working. I found the wire that the motor wiring plugs into had rubbed on the tire and worn through. A wire inside the cable was broken. This cable had been installed by Ride1up. The motor and cable were installed when I received the bike. My bike is 2 years old with 1200 miles on it. I still feel it is Ride1up's responsibility to replace the wire for free. I recently bought another 700 series that didn't work. It's wire was worn through 451 miles. The wire cost $25.00 at Ride1up plus taxes and shipping amounts to $35.00

The motor cable comes from the axel then plugs into an adapter cable that lands at the controller. The controller has 3 bullet connectors. Is that correct?

Sounds like it’s just the adapter cable that is impacted. Do you have a picture?

I have this bike as well, but it’s completely different.

Ride-1-Up is a responsive customer facing company that wants to build a strong dealer network and reputation for service and follow through. I would say bring it to your local dealer, if you have one, and let them handle the advocacy and warranty repair. You still might pay a $20 warranty processing fee. Because the dealer needs to take someone off the floor, to make some phone calls, take photos, and do about five email exchanges, then install it. The cable was positioned wrong from the start. Not your fault. The shop will do all that with their dealer clout and pull, so you don't have to.
