I recently purchased a spring operated seat post which uses an adjustable spring tension, parallelogram mechanism. Yeah, kinda technical, but I can say it works rather well absorbing minor impacts you encounter while riding. It is adjustable based on rider weight and can handle up to 420 lbs. allowing 50 mm of travel cushioning bumps. You can adjust spring tension inside the post using a screw that runs through the spring. The seat post comes with 2 adapter inserts, so this Glide model can be used on other e-bikes which might have different diameter frame tubes. These addition adapters will fit seat posts that are 30.4mm or 30.9mm internal tube diameter. Price was $137 with free shipping, packaging was excellent. I'm am going to remove the quick release clamp and replace with a bolted clamp to better secure the seat post from thieves.
