auto turn on questions

Sometimes when my ST2 gets moved it turns itself on automatically and sometimes it doesn't. I am not aware of what triggers the bike to to turn on.

It seems that it must have been left on and turned itself off and with in a certain time???

Could somebody enlighten me ?

This happens if your bike wasn't switched off and small movements trigger the gyroscope (motion detection sensor) and the light goes BLINK..
I forgot to turn off my bike when I visited India last December. I was monitoring the charge everyday from India. When I came back after 21 days, the battery was down to 16% from ~70%.
