Aurora fenders

Has anybody removed the plastic fenders from their Aurora?

The reason I ask is that I want to use a bike rack similar to the Yakima Holdup .

I don't ride in the rain so that is not an issue.

Sorry, have not removed mine, but does not look too hard to do, just about 7 screws. But, would be a bit of a hassle to put on and off every time you transport it, unless you are planning to just leave them off.
