Article about ebikes converting commuters

Very interesting Tom, good reminder to us all there is still a large percentage of people out there who are unaware of ebikes and all the issues surrounding them. While I saw a lot of enthusiasm I was surprised at the naysayers. Those of us who have been involved with ebikes on a regular basis sometimes forget that many misconceptions and fears are still out there. I was surprised at the number of people who thought ebike were or should be illegal and dangerous. We are the ambassadors, ride responsibly and be patient. Arrogance and recklessness will only fuel resistance, education and positive experience is much more likely to win converts.

Most of the people I run across that think eBikes should be illegal, or consider then dangerous are bicyclers, sad to say. Not just any old bicyclers though, mostly just the spandexer type. These guys are some of the most stuck up, holier than thou, aholes I've ever run across. The inner city casual riders are a different story. They're a lot more accepting of eBikes, and live and let live types.
