Any experience with Himiway or Eahora

Looking at two bikes and wondering if anyone has any experience with either the Eahora 26 Inch 48V 750W Fat Tires Electric Bike Cruiser or the Himiway Cruiser 750w 48v Fat Tire cruiser?

I have the eAhora AM100 and am pretty happy with it. My review is on Amazon for that model and I reposted it in this forum on the eAhora section. However, if you are planning on using it as a trail bike, I would not recommend it. It has cadence sensor motor control and sometimes speeds up when you don't want it to. If you do intermediate or above trail riding, you will want more control over speed and acceleration. However, the XC200 may perform differently.

DO NOT BUY FROM HIMIWAY!!! I have the same experience of incompetent customer service. I bought the bike on June 15th. I immediately received an email from customer support in China said it will be shipped out end of July. That was the only response I received that I don't have to initiate to get. I follow up end of July and they said it will ship out a soon as they can. Received a tracking on Aug 5th. Wrong address so they sent me another tracking 5 days later. Said will take up to 2 weeks to ship from FedEx location. Address still wrong so I called FedEx they said they don't have the product. This company said FedEx has it so I was asked to wait again. 2 weeks later no movements on the tracking and no updates from them. I email again and said they are having issues at the warehouse but no details. Told me to wait. Guessing it was due to the fire but again no details whatsoever. I followed up every week and I got the same answer without any real timeline. Then 5 weeks later they told me the bike was lost after I asked them again about this shipment. They can't provide any proofs or claim of the bike lost. They said they will ship out the replacement in 5 days. 5 days came and gone. No news so I follow up again. They said it will ship in 5 days AGAIN. That was yesterday and now they said they are out of the bike. 3+ months for a piss poor service and communication.

The phone number here and on the email is to a person is useless as they can't do anything to help. Said all he only handle IT and sales but not AFTER SALES. There is no way to talk to a live person to escalate this issue. The only support I have it through email and they failed abysmally in trying to solve any issue. In fact they didn't even try other than continue to give me excuses. This is an epic failure on this company and all riders should know to not ever trust this company.

I would stay far away from Eahora. I bought the X7 plus (on Amazon). Minor build required, which was great. Then the problems. Couldn’t get it to turn on. Tried a bunch of different things (pushing remote buttons, etc.). Contacted Eahora, they were responsive, and followed all of their directions. Still wouldn’t power on. Ended up calling a couple of retailers listed on their site (assumed I did something stupid). We checked wires and tried to power on a couple of different ways. Still didn’t work. Contacted Eahora again to let them know that nothing worked and their recommendation was to remove the anti-theft module. That requires me to pull apart the battery and re-wire the bike. Not doing that. It has warranty void written all over it. Finally decided to ask for a refund (bought it on Amazon and had 30 days). The response from Eahora to the return request was that it wasn’t allowed as the purchase included hazardous material (interesting that you can ship it, but taking it back is too dangerous).

I am now working with Amazon to get a replacement or a refund. Called my credit card company to dispute the charges. Asking the user to re-wire a bike to get it to work is not a solution. You buy anything else, charge it and it works. I expect the same of an e-bike. I haven’t received a refund, but wanted to share my experience with anyone considering buying an Eahora. BUY SOMETHING ELSE!

Welcome to EBR. Both of those bike brands have subforums under bikes by brand. Check them out and feel free to ask questions.
