I have an AM200 with the KD-986 color display. When I ride with thumb throttle only, it maxes out around 800 watts. When I use pedal assist, it maxes out at around 280 watts. I check the advanced settings and the percentages for all power assist levels (set to 0-5) are all set to default, with the assist level 5 setting set to 96%. If I'm riding on thumb throttle only on level 5, the second I start peddling, the wattage will drop from 800ish to 260ish.
Does this sound like a display issue? A controller issue?
