Good morning from Honolulu,
While waiting for Hurricane Lane, figured I'd do my introduction to this e-bike community. I started researching e-bikes over the past month and am looking forward to getting an all around work commuter bike (7 miles round trip) in the future. I understand that there are no laws -yet regarding e-bikes on Hawaii roads so they are still treated as regular bikes. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Shipping is also quite expensive and it looks like there are only a few LBS on island to check out. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to hearing from others possibly on island with any suggestions or tips and learning more from this site, narrowing down a bike/build for myself. I'm 5'8 approx 180lbs. Mahalo all!
