Adding Battery?

I don't have a bike yet, but want the Turbo Vado 3.0 and would like more distance, can I add another battery to my bike to increase this?

@Ron in MO was able to order an extra battery for his 2022 Vado last year. (The battery is the same format for all Vado, Como and Tero 2022-present only the capacity is different between differently priced models). Last year, the 710 Wh battery list price was US$1,700, the street price was quoted as $1,400 but Ron paid less because of his relationship with the LBS.

You make the order at the local Specialized dealer (not sure whether an additional cover is needed for that battery). You can only get a 710 Wh extra battery (the largest by capacity) and it will fit a Vado 3.0 that comes with a 530 Wh battery.

Now: as the extra battery would be well over $1,000, wouldn't it be a better idea just to buy a Vado 4.0 with the 710 Wh battery, a stronger motor and better components just for $750 more?
