1. Anyone perform any upgrades to their Aspen plus?

2. Hows the front light? Had a Rover 5 and light was 5 candle power lol.

3. Anyone upgrade their battery?

Regrets?

I´ve bin riding a moscow, 3000+ mi, minimal issues. It´s a non-fat Aspen.😄 Upgrades: 5¨ riser bars.
DIY rear rack with shelf for 2nd batt., wireless 4 mode light & rear turn signals, custom DIY grips,
inframe & rear panniers, myrricle mirror, Bot 2nd 13ah. Leon is now selling 13ah $299, 16ah $399, & 18ah $449*.
18ah might be a notion for an Aspen+, but I´m getting 45+ mi. on a single 13ah, which is plenty.
No regrets whatsoever! (*USD)

I have a Moscow+ and love it. It shares some components with the Aspen+ so I'll try and touch on those areas.

Brakes: Great, good stopping power. Not grabby, they apply smoothly
Motor: I'm 250lbs and it powers me through anything and up any hill
Front forks: They're ok, I am getting used to them, they dive a bit when braking hard but I'm heavy
Battery: 16ah lasts me (a heavy rider) 60-70km in PAS 4 biking on hilly paved roads. The Aspen+ like the Moscow+ has an upgraded charger.
Display: The C7 is ok, there's companies (epiccycles.ca) that sell a de-restricted replacement that allows more speed
I wish the display tracked cadence, top speed and temperature
Gears: Soooo smooth, rear gear changes are butter smooth even on hills
Frame: Bike frames are different but I find the Moscow a tall bike (I have the 27.5"), frame is sturdy but large

Things I dislike:
I find the pedals aren't sensitive enough to detecting rotation. I use the throttle a lot when starting from 0 for the first 2 seconds to get moving
Throttle is more on/off than a throttle you can feather
Bike is very tall
Bike is very heavy (I'm used to a hybrid bike setup for the road)
There's like ZERO room on the handlebars for much of anything due to the shape

Also regarding the light, I haven't seen the one on the Aspen+ but I'm told the Spanninga Kendo is weak. The aftermarket light I bought is also fairly weak, it's ok for a bike path or something but not amazing. I added a 1000lumen rechargeable flashlight to the bike that I can just plug into the USB port once in a while to recharge.

So cheap I´m thinkin ´bout getting another even though the 2 that I have are more than adequate.

I know right?! It's surprising but not in a bad way. I fully expected to be buying a 3rd party battery and had already ordered the Dorado+ connectors and was going to literally plug into the same place the factory battery does and run 10ga wires back to a rack+battery. But now I'll just have the regular factory battery and click...click swapped! I'm pleased.

I am still semi-considering getting 2 of Leon Cycle's 48v 10ah battery kits that come with the mounts and charger. It would cost more and be more of a chore to install but I'd be able to put those batteries on a front rack and distribute weight better. They cost $325cdn each so I'd be $650 vs $519 but get more flexibility and even more range.

I've had my Aspen Plus for about 18 months and done about 3,000km. I use mine all year round for commuting, off road and now for work ( I do bike tours). Pogies in the winter along with studded tires work well, even if the studs wear down very quickly on my Vee tires. Still get good range from the battery (100 km + but I generally only use power 1 or 2). Now looking for rear rack if anyone has any suggestions.
