A2B Obree

I have an Obree, 2yrs old with little use, on my last ride the motor seemed to cut out intermittantly then altogether with the warning symbol having an M in the middle? Any ideas please? The A2B tech has yet to return my communications.

Sorry the A2B brand forum here on EBR mentions A2B went bankrupt in 2013, was bought by an Indian company Hero Cycles, and there is no support, only some parts available from a few shops that formerly sold A2B ebikes like AmegoEV in Toronto, or Crazy Lenny's in Madison, WI. Assuming you are in Bristol, UK you might try posting on the UK Pedelecs forum, Hero Cycles currently sells a different line of ebikes in the UK under the Lectro brand, unsure if they offer any support for the former A2B brand.

You might be able to troubleshoot hacking the bike to change to an external generic controller by asking technical questions on the Endless Sphere forum. For example see the last posts on this thread with links to how to hack a direct drive motor to remove/bypass a controller internal to the direct drive hub. Orphan brands/ebikes with direct drive hub motors can be kept running by doing this type of mod, eg Grin Tech recently had a video showing Bionx motors can be rewired to use their Phaserunner controller.
