New Saddle Time

Put 100 miles on my New Yamaha Wabash RT. The stock saddle is just adequate, think I could do better. What do you use on your gravel bikes that you are happy with. Riding 50/50 on road/dirt roads

I agree 100%

Socket or rail?
For rails I was fairly happy with $32 Evo Cruiser 260x210 mm, but $60 Selle Royale Explora is a little better. Both require a Cloud-9 11x8 gel pad to ride past 3.7 hours in comfort. The fat melted off my hips in my mid sixties. But not off my belly, of course.
My seat post is an odd size at 34 mm, so I have to let the tires take up the bumps. 26x2.1" run at 45 psi unless I have a full 60 lb load of groceries/supplies.

Just an FYI,.. There are seatpost adapters available that allow you to fit any seatpost into any frame,..

The Suntour NCX seatpost has a newer model with a larger diameter seatpost, at 30.9 mm. (And a larger diameter spring inside also.)

I just bought a softer spring for my NCX seatpost.
The original spring was too stiff and I wasn't getting much movement in my seatpost, even with the spring tension reduced all the way.

I'm not 100% sure that the 30.9 mm seatpost has a larger diameter spring?
I saw one advertisement where a replacement spring came with second plastic/rubber sleeve to fit over the first sleeve/spacer on the spring to take up the slack.

They may have been adding a thicker sleeve to the original spring from the 27.2 mm version to make it fit?

The 30.9 mm version may or may not have a larger diameter spring?

EDIT: I just checked @Nvreloader 's Suntour link and it shows these options,..

@indianajo ,.. any of those seatposts will work for you with the appropriate adapter.
Finding the right adapter might be tricky with all the different stock seatpost diameters.
