3rd Party Lights hardwired to Rad City Battery

I read a post a while back where somebody wired a headlight directly to the battery (rather than using the existing light wires) and added an on/off switch to the handlebar, but can't seem to find it now. I'd like to do something similar.

I tried a more powerful headlight on the RadCity (using existing headlight wires, correct voltage), but it kept turning off after a few minutes. I've heard there is a wattage limit on the wires to the headlight. The new light is super bright, prob too bright for oncoming traffic. Ideally, I'd like to use the existing weaker headlight to be noticed, and have the option of flipping a switch when there is not oncoming traffic for the brighter light. Not sure how to wire it in though.

I'd also like to wire in a rear headlight so it automatically comes on with the front, weaker light. I've found one that is the right voltage and minimal wattage that I hope won't be too much for it. Has anyone tried that on the Rad City?
