New battery hook up no power communication wires

I have the Mid Drive Conversion Kit and fried the original summit battery while it was out of the bike
When trying to rewire new battery to motor I found the communication wires coming from motor to original battery
New battery only has positive and negative wires
When I left the communication wires out, the system won’t power on
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated
