30.9mm seatpost in a 30.8mm seat tube

Ok, so my new bike has a 30.8mm seat tube but I already have a 30.9mm suspension seatpost from a previous bike. I test fitted and the 30.9mm slipped right in. I'm guessing that it is ok to use, correct? Or is there something that I should be concerned about? A 0.01mm difference isn't much but the tolerances may be very small so I just to make sure. Thanks in advance!

Since your 30.9 mm post fits in the 30.8 mm tube, you should be fine. I doubt the tolerance of either is accurate to .01 mm.

Given that it fits in and that you pinch or clamp and seat post in as long as the insertion depth is enough. I say your within reason to use it.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I figured it would be OK but I guess I was overthinking things :)
