Good advice JayVee. Maybe a baseball card in your spokes in that neighborhood? LOL It's also a problem with electric cars. There have been laws written around the world that require vehicle warning sounds on those cars to protect pedestrians
YES! We had a kid about 4 or five years old run in front of us and put out his hand and yell STOP. Golly, we fortunately were able to go around him. Would not have been able to stop in time. We did stop on either side of the mom and kid. The mom was laughing. Unbelievable. I said, "that wasn't funny, it was dangerous."
Extremely important to ride very slowly around kids. We were only going about 12 mph, but still ... yikes.
ALSO, please use voice and/or bell when passing. I was passed by a Rad this morning on a narrow mixed-use trail going over a bridge. I had no idea he was there till he whooshed by.
