As of today, on the U.S. Specialized web site, it is still showing different build specs for the standard vs step-thru (ST) versions of the SL 5.0. The ST is listed with what I assume are "2022" components, including a SRAM drivetrain with an 11-50 cassette and the new "MasterMind" TCU, whereas the non-ST has not changed and has the Shimano drivetrain and original TCU. Is there any information confirming that non-ST 5.0 models will get the new build in 2022? Are they showing the old information just until all the current bikes are finally sold out?
I'm reluctant to put money down on the SL unless I'm sure I'll get one with the new build and they won't just find a 2021 build somewhere and send it to my LBS. On the other hand, if this spec is actually going to be continued into 2022, I can live with it since I don't want to put much of anything off these days since you never know what's going to happen next!
