My Turbo Vado has arrived. It is a beautiful bike. I bought it used from an online dealer and I found a few problems. The biggest issue is my battery I cannot get it to unatch for removal. The key turns clockwise to full stop. There is no unlatch click, no pop-up of the battery, and no movement of the battery. I watched a number of online videos. My key is turning completely horizontal as it should but to no effect. I tried applying pressure to the battery to unload the latch. I tried tapping the battery with my palm. I turned the key as hard as I dare. Has anyone overcome a stuck battery? This is a used bike with 190miles in excellent condition. It is possible that the previous owner never removed the battery. Thanks for any comments.

Upate on the stuck battery: The LBS released the battery with a credit card. The mechanic determined that the keys that came with my Turbo Vado do not work the lock. I got the wrong keys from the very well regarded on-line bike store. A new lock has been ordered with the proper keys.

The credit card is key to many things in life! I love it. The number on the lock should match the tag on the keys.

Is the number on the lock visible if the battery is removed? I have not been able to do the credit card removal. The mechanic said he did it and he concluded the keys were wrong. I am riding the bike with a stuck battery until the new lock and keys arrive. The credit card release is not as easy as a posted video shows. I can insert a plastic card very deep into the slot and not get the latch to release.

As far as I know Uma does not own a Vado (so he is not informed).
I cannot tell you, as I keep my Vado in storage and only remove it when going for a long ride. I still own a spare key with Abus Plus Code to make new keys. I cannot help you with the information either.
You better stick with your Specialized LBS, telcoguy.
