I have a 2015 Raleigh Tekoa iE bike that doesn't have a battery set up. It is a beautiful bike, like new. I have never owned an e bike before but want to get the best possible battery set up for it. I know it had a 48 v set up 10 ah and is a 500 w motor. There are several on amazon an a few on other sites, but nothing shows the 4 prong wire coming from the frame and where it connects to the battery set up. I don't want to just order something only to have to return it or even worse ruin the electronics on the bike. I just need some advice on what battery to get and the set up to attach it to the frame. I have a picture of the wire i'm talking about attached.

Wow, the battery is more than the bike is worth. Going to have to go aftermarket to make it worthwhile. I guess next question is where can I get a decent aftermarket battery at a reasonable price.

How cheap do you have to go? Often it takes money to plug and play and get riding. How bad do you want to ride, and how do you plan to reverse engineer the wiring diagram to match to a generic battery?

$800.00 dollars is a lot of money, it may not be to some people, but it is to me. I do not intend to reverse engineer anything. I am just looking for a battery set up that may be as good or better, that can be used on this bike that does not cost more than the bike is worth. I am already riding it as is. I am only looking to get help on buying a battery and set up , not commentary.

There should not be any "reverse engineering" required. I purchased a battery and motor (w/controller) separately and the battery only has 2 leads - positive and negative, which attach to the controller.

The battery is a Hialong 48v/13aH. Cost $285 + shipping from Amazon (battery charger included).
