15 degree Fahrenheit bike riding

Tomorrow morning temperature, here in Chicago, will get bellow 15 degrees Fahrenheit. I keep my battery in my house but my Pedego Latch is kept in an unheated garage. Will riding my bike at those low temperatures harm my bike motor? Ed

I contacted Pedego tech support last Winter about riding my Platinum Interceptor in cold weather. I was told:

(1) - Store and charge the battery indoors in a heated area.
(2) - Never charge when the battery has been stored in a cold environment for a prolonged period without warming first.

Otherwise, the bike is good to go for cold weather riding.

Keep the battery indoors and warm when not in use. Once you insert the battery and get underway all will be fine. If you stop for an extended period of time (to eat lunch or something) bring the battery in with you. I treat my battery like a small animal in really cold weather. Keep it warm and safe. If you do forget the battery in the cold let it sit for awhile before charging. The coldest I've ridden was 26 degrees for 14 miles. My feet suffered the worst but the bike did just fine.
