Turbo Vado SL5 2022 wheelset recommendation

Quick update. We took the bike into the nearest Specialized authorized dealer.......and all it needs was the special washer designed to take up the play. This wasn't picked up by our local LBS almost 2 years ago as they weren't aware of the maintenance bulletin from Specialized regarding this...

Turbo Vado SL5 2022 wheelset recommendation

Taking the bike into a Specialized dealer tomorrow. I've sent some photos of the spindle(which for some reason I can't post on here) and they seem to think it may just require the wave washer.......that should have been picked up by the LBS, especially as on the first occasion the bike was under...

Turbo Vado SL5 2022 wheelset recommendation

It was......until it became a Giant store!! It's going back today.....although I'm guessing a trip to a Specialized dealer is on the cards.

Turbo Vado SL5 2022 wheelset recommendation

It will be 3 years old in August, she has put 6500 miles on it, so plenty of use. The crank isn't loose at the bolt, I can't even move it with my 8mm Allen wrench, so it's definitely torqued. It's almost as if the splines are not marrying up and there is too much wear for them to engage

Turbo Vado SL5 2022 wheelset recommendation

Thanks for the recommendations and ideas........but now she has a bigger problem. The bike has just had its 3rd drive side crank fitted after the previous 2 had splines that were worn. This 3rd one was torqued to 50nm by the LBS who fitted it. Took it for a ride yesterday, hadn't done more than...

Turbo Vado SL5 2022 wheelset recommendation

Hello all, after some advice on behalf of the wife. Her Vado has just come back from the LBS minus the OEM DT Swiss rear wheel and been replaced with a TRYP one as a stop gap until we can source a new wheelset. Any recommendations for a replacement wheelset for her Vado? Unfortunately we can't...

    I bought a Grizl:ON CF 9, AMA

I've gone for the X Small. My Giant Defy is Medium but with a 400mm handlebar and 170mm cranks. My Contend is also a Medium with a 80mm stem rather than the 100mm it came with, so I have altered both bikes. Stack and Reach of the XS Grizl On is similar to both my Giants in Medium size.

    I bought a Grizl:ON CF 9, AMA

Thanks Stefan, my Giant Defy and Contend both came tubeless ready with the tape fitted and valves supplied but I believe Giant are the only manufacturer to do that as standard.

    I bought a Grizl:ON CF 9, AMA

I'm expecting my Grizl:On to be delivered this Friday, can't beat a NBD feeling!! For any owners out there, are the DT Swiss wheels 'fully tubeless ready (tape, valves)' or just tubeless ready where I'll have to do the taping/buy the valves? Andy

    I bought a Grizl:ON CF 9, AMA

Just pulled the trigger on the Grizl:On Daily, the 9% sale price finally convinced me to go for it. Ordered the XS after looking over the geometry charts and it's the closest fit to my current bikes. Ordered the mini remote too, from a UK outlet.

Do you think the S would have been better 'off the peg'? I'm really on the border between XS and S on the Canyon sizing, will have to take another look at the geometry.

    I bought a Grizl:ON CF 9, AMA

"7) Not sure who dropped the ball on sizing - I barely fit an XS. Usually between small and medium (or 52cm) with other manufacturers." It's the same Stack and Reach as my Giant Contend M (with a 90mm stem rather than stock 100mm) which drew me to the XS Grizl:On......are you finding it too...

    New Creo2

Hi Tenezus, I've not decided yet, the Griz On is still top of my list but the Cube Nuroad is a very attractive option, unfortunately there is little stock in the UK until January 2025. I know see Giant are releasing a Defy AR e+, I already have a Giant Defy and Giant Contend AR as manual bikes...

    New Creo2

Another one of the bikes on my 'first e-bike' list. Very limited stock here in the UK but a few available in that colour scheme and in my size. Could I ask how you find the motor noise and how you are getting on with the SRAM Apex? I've not ridden SRAM for around 8 years and that was Force...

    I bought a Grizl:ON CF 9, AMA

Thanks, Ben, The 'forks don't lockout' was actually in a online magazine review so that's good to know that they can be turned off if required. I always thought Canyon sizing was different to the others, I'm right on the boundary of XS/S so sticking to the adage of it's easier to make it...

    I bought a Grizl:ON CF 9, AMA

A bike I'm looking at as my first e-bike, I've hovered over the 'Add to Cart' on more than one occasion. I read in a review that the suspension forks can't be locked out? I'm looking mainly for a road/light gravel set up(the roads in the UK could pass as gravel at times 😕) Sizing in the...
