when i go up in gears from where it starts at 11, i can hear them change along with the display showing the changes.

the bike will show 11th gear and will feel like its in 1st gear. I can shift it up to 14, but still feels like its in the lowest gears. once i do the recalibration everything is fine

in about 4 more years when i retire i'll be able to do that.

have over 1K miles on my bike and today and this is the second time i've had to recalibrate the rohloff. Both times have been when i'm leaving work. is this something i should be worried about?

Tried doing this, I even removed the kiox for the amount of time recommended. When I reconnected the kiox it reverted back to the default mode of always on and a high beam.

the stikers are anti-abrasion like mentioned above. The small plastic piece is to lock the kiox to the mount. Here are some pictures.
