56 actually, inseam 89.5 cm. It's similar to the Diverge which you can likely find anywhere, but slightly more stretched out. I shortened the stem to 90 and flipped it.

    interesting new garmin radar data

I'm so sick of drivers nowadays. They are by far the most entitled and indifferent set of people I run into in daily life, while also being the most lethal. Whether I'm behind the wheel, on foot, or on a bike, drivers are always the issue. We have a city limit of 25 mph, which is really too fast...

    interesting new garmin radar data

Love the Varia and totally agree that it's a great device for increasing visibility. My eyes are drawn to them on the road when I drive, even during the day. Really wish the app would allow support for multiple Varias. Huge miss that it doesn't especially since they offer a hardwired version...

Help with strategizing timing and choice(s) of commuter eBike--REI Co-op CTY e2.2 vs Specialized Turbo Vados

The Automatiq on the 5.0 IGH makes the bike less reliable. It just doesn't seem to be a perfect pairing with the Brose motor, as amazing as it is when it works. Belt drive similarly can be great, but your options for repair shops dwindle compared to a chain-driven bike. Little less gearing too...

Help with strategizing timing and choice(s) of commuter eBike--REI Co-op CTY e2.2 vs Specialized Turbo Vados

Was that Bosch out of curiosity? They’ve made some interesting bikes of late.

Help with strategizing timing and choice(s) of commuter eBike--REI Co-op CTY e2.2 vs Specialized Turbo Vados

Agreed on getting it in writing. I actually returned two Spec bikes. One was a PITA with a stocking fee charged, the other was smooth as can be - they even said, “we really don’t want to sell you a bike that doesn’t work for you.” Full credit back on the second one. The first bike actually has...

Recommendations for mid-drive and belt drive

I like the Brose motor on that Ride1Up model. Very powerful and very quiet. That it runs a 2.25" wide tire is another nice benefit for comfort. Not sure how reliability or service is with those bikes. Design looks really nice too. The Zen founder is active on these forums and seems to stand...

    Convert belt-drive to derailleur?

Yeah unfortunately the design of this bike doesn’t allow the Automatiq. I made a thread and tried it. The rear rack mounting and the (set screws for calibrating alignment? Still confused on the purpose of those) are both are in the way. Looked at a bunch of other bikes from Tern, Spec, R&M and...

    Convert belt-drive to derailleur?

This is really helpful, thank you! The bike is the current C380 HMB (2023-) model with Smart System Performance Line.

    Convert belt-drive to derailleur?

Has anyone converted a belt drive bike to derailleur? I have a C380 Gazelle Ultimate. I'm assuming it should be a matter of swapping for components used in their Ultimate T10 model, but wouldn't be surprised if there is some minor detail that makes it impossible. The twist shift just doesn't...

How do you all use your E-BIKES? Do you go out riding with friends or do you enjoy the experience on your own?

Riding with friends and neighbors is always my preference, so long as we cover a little distance (5-10 miles+). None of us are “cyclists” we just enjoy getting around on bikes and exploring our city. 70/30 split between solo and with company.

Share a recent frustrating experience that made you want to switch bikes!

Wouldn’t buy anything with a twist shift again. I’ve tweaked by wrist on the Enviolo on numerous occasions. It’s not an ergonomic motion. Never had that problem with traditional shifting, etap, rohloff button press, etc.

Moving from Vado SL EQ to Creo 2

This is true. The Creo buttons suck. They are way too chunky and don't fit nicely anywhere. The electronic shifters are perfect. They should have piggybacked on that system or made them equally slim. The +/- shifter on the full size Vado is super slim and also a great solution with the haptic...

Moving from Vado SL EQ to Creo 2

Did you buy the Quick Rack recently? It really does work great. Almost spent $700 on the Tailfin, and glad I didn't. The Quickrack hits all the requirements while looking good too.

Bosch Powertube 750 Battery Low Range

My Gazelle with the 625 wh battery (smart system gen, 75 nm performance line) does about 70 km in Turbo Mode… You have to run the whole battery from 100% to low for a true range test though. Extrapolation doesn’t work for li-on powered devices.

    Vado 4.0 Sale Price

I think the Vado 4.0 is better than my Gazelle C380. More natural motor, more battery, a little quieter, looks less like an e-bike, step over option in the US, much wider tires, and lastly I just do not like the Enviolo igh at all. The C380 is $5k.. I just struggle to see why it’s better. I...

    Update to/New Turbo Vado 5.0?

The belt tension spec is way too high in my view, and it leads to issues like very stiff shifting on the manual version. I’ve had to argue with shops about this. The shifting force required should be light and easy for constant gear changing, not measured in newton meters…the belt should be...

The gold is a really nice accent. I found the reach a bit long. In general I have a shorter reach for my height though. @Ben J did you mention this too?
