Enviolo users - can you shift while pedaling?

We tried both, on Nevo4 for Automatiq and Homage / Delite for Rohloff E14. At the end, both systems are very impressive, but : - Full automatic is more comfortable than electronic shifting, because you can fully focus on riding and paying attention to surrounding traffic and environment, hence...

Enviolo users - can you shift while pedaling?

Hello AvalancheRun, for what it is worth.... My wife and I have tried 4 different R&M bikes with Enviolo, 2 manual and 2 automatic. Manual shifted effortless under load (even with my load :) ), but we thought Automatiq would be preferable for 2 reasons : - we ride since 2019 Van Moof S2 and X2...

    2024 Delite 4 and Superdelite

Stefan, Unnecessary for you doesn't mean unnecessary for all. In urban / peri-urban environment, it is usefull. In autum, when a car makes a brutal and unexpected turn on a paved road with leaves on the ground, yes, I'll be happy to have it. You'll see, you will change your mind once...

    Review Video of R & M 2024 models

"As an alternative to ABS, one might... learn to ride a bicycle?" Pretty funny. I have already heard this argument twice in my life : 1 - As an alternative to ABS, one might... learn to ride a car ? 2 - As an alternative to ABS, one might... learn to ride a motorbike ? Never heard it about horse...

    2024 Delite 4 and Superdelite

Well, "ABS or not" is really a matter of use case. 80% of our kilometers will be within Paris, so I think it makes sense for us. This is also why we went for Enviolo (with LBS upgrade to Automatiq) instead of Rohloff. There is one point I am pretty confused about : RX Services versus Bosh...

    2024 Delite 4 and Superdelite

We have just ordered a Homage 4 and a Delite 4 with Enviolo and ABS, but since we ride a lot within Paris, France, we estimated ABS might be more usefull than Float. ;) I have had for years a BMW C1 scooter with ABS, and it makes a real difference in urban environment.

    Pinion Motor.Gearbox.Unit (MGU)

Hello Stefan, If I may: excellent question, and I have the same as an amateur photographer each time a new model is issued. New sensor, new processor, better high ISO, better AF, better stabilization, viewfinder, weight, battery capacity and so on, and so on. As you see, decision taking process...

    Hello from Paris, France

Many thanks for the info on Bulls. They have a reseller in Paris. I will look at it. @ Dewey, thanks, composing my own bike is not an option I am considering. I want to be able to turn to a reseller for bike service. It’s part of the « ease of use » criteria ;)

    Hello from Paris, France

It is not decided yet but : - They stand for 150 kg of global weight, which is probably the minimum for me. - I think their 58" Homage fits my size - Rohloff helps filling the ease of use requirement - They provide full suspension - Dealer is 100 meters away from my home Another known option...

    Hello from Paris, France

Well, it's really a bit small for me, 4 inches make a real difference, and I am afraid I am just too heavy for the bike. As soon as there is a serious slope, even with the boost button, I reach the limits. Which is why I said it is more a matter of mismatch with my profile than a true S2...

    Hello from Paris, France

Hi everybody, First of all, congrats for the quality and mindset of this forum. It is a pleasure to read. I live in the immediate west vicinity of Paris, France, a pretty flat area, and own for 4 years now a VanMoof S2. I use it for whatever I have to do in Paris, plus ccmmuting once or twice a...
