    I bought a Grizl:ON CF 9, AMA

I had not heard of that before. It sounds like you have to get a shop to enable it. Did you do that, or did your CF7 come with that already available?

    Reset Distance

That's one thing that's pretty clever about the Bosch setup: It automatically records everything, and automatically considers each day a new trip unless you set it up otherwise.

    Varia questions Tero X 6.0

I have mine on the fixed part of the seat tube, and even though it's kind of low, it works fine. I actually think the lower position is better in situations where you are near (but not on) a road. I have also seen seat bag setups where it mounts to the back of the bag. I have failed to turn...

That's how I do it whenever I forget which button to hold for "walk mode"

    I bought a Grizl:ON CF 9, AMA

Some further observations on the Bosch system: Self-discharge appears to be higher than on my other bikes. I took it off the charger (at 100%) and didn't ride for about a week. It was down to 90%. I'm not sure if this is the system protecting itself from extended storage at 100%, or normal...

Will 700x47c Pathfinder Pro 2Bliss Ready tyres fit on a Turbo Vado SL 5?

G-one is a whole series. Depending on what you didn't like about the one you have, you can move up/down the line to change the road/offroad balance.

I think it feels smoother above 80, but if you play with Bosch's online range calculator, the peak range is a little lower (like in the 70s).

Wow, thanks for that. I had to go straight to the garage to see. It's so obvious now that I know. Now that you mention it, it might have. Either that or I'm just not hyperfocused on the bike anymore when I'm riding.

    I bought a Grizl:ON CF 9, AMA

I've got about 250-300 miles on the bike now. I've been using it to commute a couple times a week and I've ridden it on a wider variety of surfaces now. Here are some additional notes: I'm getting used to the reach. I thought it was 10-15mm too long when I got the bike, but apparently I'm...

What kind of bell do you use?

Don't buy any bell with that style of striker (vertical spring with a bit of plastic on it). They're hit or miss on whether they strike, you can't modulate the volume, and they usually sound like crap. Stick to bells with a torsion spring arrangement and a brass striker.

    E-Cells Dual Star review

You can get brake pads with different composition. "Organic" brake pads are prone to brake fade and glazing. "Sintered" brake pads are resistant to that but don't have the same initial bite. "Semi-metallic" is a hybrid which combines some of the strengths and weaknesses. You should be able to...

    Trouble getting accurate calorie data

Unfortunately it depends. Mainly on what app or device you want to use during your ride, and what service you want to save your rides on. For example, you could pair the bike and the HRM to to the Wahoo, use the Wahoo during rides, and upload it wherever it can (probably Strava and other...

    Trouble getting accurate calorie data

Calorie counts will come from one of two sources: If a heartrate monitor is available, it seems like most systems will prefer this. It will estimate based on time in different heartrate zones with a formula based on weight, age, gender, etc. If you have not filled out personal information in...

    I bought a Grizl:ON CF 9, AMA

It does have a lockout. As you mention, the sizing names Canyon uses don't seem to match up with other bikes. I'm surprised about medium all the way to XS, but I don't know how Giant sizing lines up.

    Mechanical Cable Actuated Disc Brakes

If you're looking for an easy upgrade, there are now hybrid hydraulic/mechanical brake calipers now. Basically the master cylinder is right at the caliper so your mechanical brake setup is unchanged but the actual calipers are hydraulic.

Sudden loss of braking performance on rear brake - Vado SL 4.0

Contamination of the pads/discs will cause this. You can get brake specific cleaner to try to decontaminate. You may need to remove the pads to do a thorough job.

Simple question on Vado cable routing

That should be clamped. That's probably a LBS item when they assemble the bike, so it depends on the quality of your LBS.

    specialized creo 2

You should just be able to unhook the wire from the bottom of the seatpost and leave it in the tube. Nothing to cut unless you really want to get rid of the cable and housing. The TranzX dropper is 400mm overall length, so a 380mm seatpost will definitely fit. If you're buying carbon though, I...

Moving from Vado SL EQ to Creo 2

If you don't have the rack mounting screw near the derailleur (which may be less common on carbon frames? my grizl does not have it) you have to use an adapter that clamps onto the chainstay (or is it the seatstay?) somewhere. It might not work for various reasons (CF chunkier profile, CF can't...
