    Specialized releases Turbo Tero X

As for comfort, I cut 1" off each side of bars and added Ergon grips. I usually run about 35 psi in tires, and adjust suspension to soft for off road and hard for commute. The only downside for me is some of the parts are cheap, like the bell and light mount, both of which broke. I'm kind of...

    Tero X 5.0 quality

Got a quick fix going, all credit to zip ties! I've reached out to a special ops machinist I know to see if he can fab up something that could work with front basket mount. So far he replied Holy F_ _k! to my inquiry. We'll see, but at least now I can use my bar bag now that light is out of the...

    Tero X 5.0 quality

When my bell fell off the bike at 3 months of use, I wasn't too bothered because I wanted a spurcycle anyway, but yesterday my headlight fell off (plastic mount broke), at 6 months of use, and about 1900 miles. The kickstand fell off at one point, but that didn't involve broken parts. I'm...

Bike lock on my Tero X... found one that fits lower bracket!

@Bradford D congrats, you seem to be the first person to make that spot on the Tero X useful! I'm still waiting for @specialized to tell us what that space is supposed to hold. Sadly, that lock is not going to be of any use in Albuquerque. Guess I'll keep carrying my giant Abus ulock in my pannier.

    Specialized releases Turbo Tero X

I rode my Tero on some of the best single track I've ever ridden last weekend in Frisco, CO. The bike was very out of place with fenders and a kickstand, but it held up well. Got a few grumpy remarks from folks who don't like ebikes on their trails, but whatever, we had a blast! We also rode the...

New Turbo Tero X 6.0 pannier bag?

These have worked pretty good for me on my 5.0 https://www.rei.com/product/188014/ortlieb-gravel-pack-panniers-pair?redirect-pup=false

2022 Vado - Flat tire while on kickstand

My new Turbo Tero X 5.0 did the same thing, and now it has some fun light blue marks from where it hit my bench, non-kickstand side.

    Specialized releases Turbo Tero X

Hi @smorgasbord, I test rode the Levo, Tero, and Tero X, and the choice was pretty clear to me, Tero X. Levo is for dedicated trail riding, and probably rips. The Tero could also be a good choice, lighter and more nimble than Tero X, but the Tero X is really comfortable and does equally well on...

    Specialized releases Turbo Tero X

Swapped the Jones bar off my Karate Monkey, and it was ok, but really didn't work with the light set up, even though I made a bracket to lower it. The stock light is one of the few things I don't like about this bike. It really needs more modes and to be able to turn it off. Back to flat bars...

    Specialized releases Turbo Tero X

This is what I got. So for so good, they have hooks that lock them to bottom of rack, and little clips that connect to the top. https://www.rei.com/product/188014/ortlieb-gravel-pack-panniers-pair?redirect-pup=false

    Specialized releases Turbo Tero X

@DeepintheShires I hope this helps! This is the fork cap. On a comical note, the bell broke yesterday. I would think Specialized could make a bell that lasts longer than a month, but oh well, kind of want a spurcycle bell anyway.

    Specialized releases Turbo Tero X

@newheights It's more capable than I am for sure. I've never owned a full suspension mtb and never had a dropper, which makes a huge difference when technical obstacles come up. I'm able to do things on the tero I can't do on my Surly Karate Monkey, and honestly wouldn't even think of trying...

    Specialized releases Turbo Tero X

@newheights The X is super comfy, and with the great geometry and awesome brakes, it's really a do it all platform. I tested the Levo, and found it to be uncomfortable. I think it's probably a great bike for single track, but too aggressive for all round use. I could ride the Tero X all day.

No more complaints re: range. I started ride with fully charged battery, rode 20 miles of single track, and about 10 miles on road to get to trail, and here are the results. Average speed was 12 mph, or about 19 kph, I used eco at 30% assist on single track, and turbo / trail on road. Duration...

    Specialized releases Turbo Tero X

Hi @Stefan Mikes, I'll get used to the range, but I'm not super impressed that the 4 year old Bosch display on my Cannondale was simpler, but way more informative. It's kind of funny the the "range anxiety" display of the mastermind doesn't really help in that regard. Thanks for advice re...

    Specialized releases Turbo Tero X

I picked up a 5.0 in mid March, and am coming from a Cannondale Synapse NEO SE. I added Ortlieb panniers, better pedals, a bar bag, cut an inch off each side of the bars, and it's set up tubeless, a must in New Mexico. So far so good. It's really fun to ride, a great commuter, great power and...
