    100G-Tech Geeko Conversion Kits

Nope. I ride with a bottle of water, a snack, and a few $$$$...that's all. Oh, and if I remember...a spare set of socks.

    100G-Tech Geeko Conversion Kits

I set the maximum speed parameter at 100km/h. With my current gearing, I can get the bike up to 60km/hr with the battery at full charge. As the hub motor is only 350W, my speed is limited by air resistance. Perhaps I need one of these?

    100G-Tech Geeko Conversion Kits

Interesting. Although I never experienced the same problem, I agree that two fixing points for a 15Ah battery is insufficient. My 10Ah battery has had no issues. In hindsight, I could have gotten away with a 7Ah battery for my Trek given how light it is.

Turbo Vado 5.0 IGH - The Nightmare Continues

Resurrecting this old thread with an update. After a year of considering all options, and Aventon being unable to deliver the bike I ordered (a story for another day), I'm pleased to report that I've added a second ebike to the stable. Rather than buying a factory bike, I decided to build my...

    Radwagon4 Hydraulic brake conversion

Anyone still sitting on the fence regarding a hydraulic brake conversion for your RW4, all I can say is DO IT! I went with the XOD conversion kit offered by Big Game Bikes out of the UK. BGB offers a selection of upgrades for RAD bikes, including a prefabricated hydraulic brake kit that arrives...

    100G-Tech Geeko Conversion Kits

I’d be curious to learn which motor you managed to mod down to 130mm?

    Which Bike for Ebike Conversion?

If you elect to go hub-style motor, the only advise I can offer is to avoid carbon fiber frames with a 130mm rear dropout spread. The narrow dropout will severely limit your options.

    100G-Tech Geeko Conversion Kits

I've been considering converting my favorite road bike for years but have never felt confident in my knowledge nor the quality of the kits on offer. Fortunately, Grin Technologies is local to me and their technical support group proved invaluable. After a number of back and forth discussions...

Turbo Vado 5.0 IGH - The Nightmare Continues

Proprietary equipment is required to update certain firmware on this bike, so a general bike shop would be unable to perform all works. Plus I wonder if they have access to some of the proprietary components on this bike. Going forward, I will limit my ebike choices to parts-bin bikes, where...

    Aventon Canada

I am pleased to report that EZBIKE Canada reached out to me today and confirmed receiving my order via their 'Aventon Canada' website. I am confident the Aventon Canada website is legit. However they still need to improve their customer communications.

    Aventon Canada

A contact phone number on the Aventon Canada website is needed.....and a mailing address. As it stands now, it could easily be taken for a scam site. Plus, it would be nice if someone from Aventon Canada actually responded to emails. In addition, if the site is indeed hosted by EZBike...

    Aventon Canada

Thank you for the clarification. May I suggest you provide more clarity on the Aventon Canada website...would go a long way to improving consumer confidence.

    Aventon Canada

Has anyone in Canada had any luck contacting Aventon Canada? Their website lacks a contact phone number, and they don't respond to e-mails. EZBike in Ontario claims to be the "Official" Canadian importer, but I see no evidence that they're hosting the "Aventon Canada" website. If this...

Turbo Vado 5.0 IGH - The Nightmare Continues

For those who asked...just ordered one of these. Is it as capable at the Turbo Vado 5.0 with IGH...no. But neither is it as complex. Plus being largely open source hardware, I'm not beholden to the manufacturer for parts or repair. (Price shown in $CAD)
