    Wind speeds and your ride.

It's always windy on an ebike - 20 -25mph in your face, no matter which way the wind blows 😆

Bafang DPC-18 Mid-Drive Motor Display Clock Always Running Fast

I usually compare the time on my phone to the display time so I know how much time to subtract on days that I have to back at a certain time. On weekends, % of battery left is usually my clock.

    Hydra V2

I'm talking about clearance to bottom of motor. Pedal strike I can avoid by timing pedal stroke vs the terrain I see. But any rock wall crossing or downed tree, I usually have to stop to not bang up the motor.

Have you seen the revised Helios?

So there are two versions of the ultra motor (750 and 1000 watt) and both are rated at 160nm ? Or same motor with different settings?

    Hydra V2

One change I'd like to see if it is possible is more ground clearance. It's really the only negative thing about my Hydra, otherwise close to perfection for my needs. Maybe when I retire and have more ride time, a chonky beast might allow for longer rides.

If running tubes why keep patching it instead of replacing it?

Makes sense for most with hub motors to just patch without taking the wheel off if you can. Been riding most of this year on a patched tube on my mid drive that I fixed on trail - it doesn't leak so so I can't be bothered to swap it out even with the thru axel.

Rich people in Lincoln MA like to erect sculptures on their vast lawns but Poneyhenge is the weirdest.

Lock the crank to lube chain - tool

I use a dry lube and wet the chain with it every other ride or so. If I'm feeling lazy I only do whatever parts are easily exposed. When feeling a little more adventurous, just lift the bike and move the crank forward. I would spend more time trying to figure out where I left the dang thing last...

Horn, Bell or Voice, how to warn others of your presence and intentions

I have a dog bell hanging from my handlebars to warn people and animals of my presence and will change gears, squeak the brakes, and/or give a verbal warning if not noticed. For people in cars - angry shouting seems to make them wake up. I've had to shout at so many cars it has become a habit...

Smallest chainring / largest cassette installed on RipCurrent S?

You going to do 20mph on your class one on technical singletrack just because your bike allows it or do you ride within your ability to keep safe? What makes you think he's any different - his equipment? He never mentioned using a throttle, if request is for hub bike then sounds like he's...

Schwalbe Johnny Watts (and other Schwalbe SUV tyres) User Club

    Authorized eBike Trails in NJ?

Sometimes it's easier to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission. Unless the signs say no bikes, someone of authority will have to stop me to get to stop riding there. Enjoy it while you can, gray area/lack of enforcement is not going to last forever.

    Ebike bumper stickers

Not for my bike but for the car I want one that says: My other vehicle is a Watt Wagons.

    Winter Sucks

Been snowboarding for almost 30 yrs, Ive tried all kinds of gear and whatever keeps me warm enough makes me sweat. Best I can do is a wicking layer to feel less wet.

    Winter Sucks

40F is about my tolerance for riding. Otherwise have to wear too much gear and body gets too hot while face, hands, and feet are freezing. High today, 32F. 😥

    Hydra valve caps

The Duroc 40 rims they use as standard are presta valve. I prefer schrader for my bikes but not a big deal - just bought a pump that fits both and got a little adapter thing that I keep I'm my emergency pack just in case.

Our Rides in Words, Photos & Videos

Only going to make it to the 40s next week, so these may be the last of the season. Will be lucky to catch only a handful of days between now and March. Love this watt Wagons Hydra more everyday I ride it and it's going to be hard just staring at it all winter.

Just ordered a Hydra power questions

Eco 1and 2 give smooth startup with x1 stock settings.Gets a little jumpy in Eco 3 and above. I only use Eco 3 for climbing and starting from stopped on a hill, otherwise I'm usually in Eco 1 or 2 on road or trail. Eco 5 seems more like sport 1 - which I only use to climb the last hill up to my...

    WattWagons Ti CT Fattie

For Sport mode to be useful off road you either need to climb some seriously sick stuff, have some wide open carriage paths that run mostly straight or have access to a motocross track. No good on single track trails without bouncing off trees. I did a pretty decent rocky, rooty climb that I...
