My DIY builds: GMAC, BBSHD, 9C RH212, CYC Photon, ToSeven DM01

I made no assumption of you at all. But I stated what has been built and the results of a few riders around here. I did miss state the travel of the fork I used. But no matter as you are a expert. Riding 25 miles a day. Wow! I`m impressed. That is a usual single track day for us in the morn. and...

    Bafang bbs02b

Internal magnet and ring sensor. you can order the parts and soldier the pc which is inside the unit housing. If I was a betting man I would say it is the controller. Even without the rear wheel sensor in place the unit will run for a short period. You can restart the display and it will repeat...

Bought another photon and this one failed also.

I have 2 photons 1 stealth gen 3 and a cyc pro gen 2. I am no stranger to cyc. I have 1 to seven dmo2, 5 bafang bbso2, 2 bafang bbshd and 3 bafang hub drive units mixed between 500w and 1 750watt. Stranger to ebikes I am not. disgusted with the photon I am. Also on a previous post I mentioned...

Bought another photon and this one failed also.

Bought another photon 3 wks ago and this morning it quit working. 305 miles on this one. F irst one I got from BMW this one came from John N/O. I don`t blame these guys by no means. This is definitely it for me with cyc. I thought maybe the second one I bought would be trouble free and the...

Looking for a powerful mid drive kit.

a dc motor will run stronger on more volts. Considering the controller limits also. The mileage yielded is also a plus. I don`t play with the 60 and 72 volts as high voltage and Mr. Roberts does. Just not my jam. But the power they can get out of the HD with the volts and controllers in amazing.

Looking for a powerful mid drive kit.

If you aren`t going to use the pas then you don`t need torque sensing. Build you a BBSHD with a 36 chain ring with about 46x12 cassette a throttle and 48 or 52 volt batt. You can climb more hill than you can stay on the bike. It will not bog down. It will either wheely over or lose traction on...

Cannot allow my hobby to burn down my home

I bet you recharge your cell phone in your bedroom while you sleep. Right along with the rest of us. Unplug the toaster the coffee pot,tv, radio and appliances as they all represent fire hazards. Geez!

How common are rattles, buzzes, and other noises on ebikes?

For fender rattles and buzzes I spray paint the underside of fender with several coats of rubberized auto undercoater. Easy fix pro. look and results.

Evolution Of An E-Biker - From Aventon Level, to DIY BBSHD Fat Bike, to CF Luna Cycle Z1 Enduro, to Frey Savannah CC, to Rohloff Hub.

I will admit to the addiction on the ebike learning curve as well. Still cheaper than motor cycle addiction that I came from. Wishing you many more miles and bikes.

Are mid drives just naturally less zippy than hub motors?

You are so right about the controller programming. I have one pace 500 bike that will lift the front wheel on throttle with no problem. I have another that won`t even come close. I have a 3wk old adventure aventon that reacts like a torque sensor. The motor comes in very slowly an quite subtle...

    Three Aventures, three different derailleurs

I have 3 pace 500 bikes and the groups are all over the place on them as well. Tires derailleurs and brakes especially. Junk... My adventure has acera on it. Also a spider type crank. The paces have a pressed on chain ring. Love the bikes aventon makes but I usually change to higher end groups.

Suntour NCX, another mismatch for me.

I ride them on all my bikes. Next best thing to rear suspension on hard tail mtn bike. Mimics natural movement on proper suspension. Straight up and down springer post are like pogo sticks. Wide saddles don`t seem to work for me as they do for you. To each his own.
