Selling my MD750 bike. One of the batteries caught fire (there's a thread here on it..) so it comes with NO BATTERIES. This bike is sold as as the Bolton Warthog MD750, Bikonit MD750 or Bitrix Juggernaut Ultra Beast. It's currently in Portland, but I may take it to Seattle soon. $1000. Local...

    My bike's battery exploded

I guess I was wrong, according to: https://resources.impactfireservices.com/how-do-you-put-out-lithium-ion-battery-fire a lithium battery would be Class B. No C or D needed.

    My bike's battery exploded

I used a 5lb 3A:40B:C. I imagine the C (for electrical fire) was important. I think the smaller ones are often AB only. I did use almost all of the tank as well, so 5lb seems prudent. The one I used (First Alert Pro5) happens to be on sale at the Costco near me for $26--a bargain for how it can...

    My bike's battery exploded

No jumping, but some fire roads, atv trails and the like. The bike probably had 300-500 miles on it. I won't be keeping it. Living in a camper van, I don't have the time to fix it. Generic MD 1000 and HD 750 ebike model discussion

Generic MD 1000 and HD 750 ebike model discussion

Bought end of July, received in October I think. Not sure which cells were inside. I bought three batteries with the bike, below is a photo of the other two. The label on the exploded one burned away. I disposed of all of them to be safe, so unfortunately this photo is all I have for you.

    My bike's battery exploded

I was driving down a highway in northern California, with the bike on a rack behind my van. I heard a loud pop, hiss, and plume of white smoke. Pulled over right away, and the driver behind me says my van is on fire. I grabbed a fire extinguisher and ran outside to see the lower battery was...

Generic MD 1000 and HD 750 ebike model discussion

I'd been enjoying my MD1000 on a cross country road trip...until the battery exploded. Driving down a highway in northern California, with the bike on a rack behind my van, I heard a loud pop, hiss, and plume of white smoke. Pulled over right away, and the driver behind me says my van is on...
