    Update to/New Turbo Vado 5.0?

Out of curiosity, why 35lbs? I have mine (Vado 5 with the Automatiq IGH) set to 40lbs per Gates recommendations. Never considered using anything different.

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

I have not had this issue @Fender, but experience something similar with my Vado not wanting to turn on. Mine is when I ride for a bit and take a long break. After 15 minutes or so of no use, the bike will turn itself off. The issue I have is it doesn't always want to turn back on immediately on...

Vado 5 IGH - Squeaking Noise

Thanks @Seventysomething ! I removed the snap ring for cleaning and the video. But it fits on well. Also, the lobes are locked in.....so it looks like everything is fine with the rear sprocket. Hopefully cleaning the rear sprocket will help with the noise. Will ride in the next couple days...

Vado 5 IGH - Squeaking Noise

Thanks @Seventysomething! I pulled the rear wheel and removed part of the interface. Cleaned everything up and noticed the sprocket is loose and has some play. Here is a video: Should there be any play in that sprocket? If not, what type of tool do I need to tighten it?

Vado 5 IGH - Squeaking Noise

I rode 40 miles yesterday. The first 10 miles were great! The belt was virtually silent. But then the squeak returned. I decided to spray a bit of water on the rear sprocket per @Stefan Mikes suggestion. And it worked! At least temporarily. The sound returned roughly 10 miles later. But...

Vado 5 IGH - Squeaking Noise

Thanks again Mike! The belt and front ring are easily cleanable; however, the rear ring is difficult to clean due to the Enviolo Automatiq hub interface with the belt attached. But I did clean the front ring and belt with dish soap and water. On a short test ride, the noise was eliminated...

Vado 5 IGH - Squeaking Noise

Thanks for the suggestion! I will take it apart this weekend and clean the belt along with the belt rings. The front ring received a good cleaning when I removed it to clean behind it, but it won't hurt to clean it again. The rear ring will be a difficult, but will figure something...

Vado 5 IGH - Squeaking Noise

Good morning all!! Hoping someone can help me out. For the past week or so, my Vado 5 IGH is making a squeaking noise. It appears to be coming from the drive train, but I could be wrong about this. The noise is present, but pretty mild, when I first start riding. But after 30 minutes or so...

New : Turbo Vado 5.0 IGH Belt Drive

The site says 28lbs. I have not weighed it, but feel that is pretty accurate from installing and removing it a few time.

    Ok, I get it now...

The front brake cable is shorter than I would like. The cable gets tight when turned ~90 degrees to the right. I do plan on extending it the next time I take the bike to my LBS. Not sure how big of a deal it is since I would never intentionally turn the bars that far. But can see if being a...

New : Turbo Vado 5.0 IGH Belt Drive

1up Super Duty works well on my Vado 5.0. I am using the fender cushion on the rear tire, which is not shown in this pic.

    Ok, I get it now...

Does anyone have pics of a Vado with an aftermarket stem? The Vado uses the Flowset stem and spacers, which are tear drop shaped. Curious how a traditional round stem will look and interact with the other tear drop shaped components. I am also curious what additional parts are needed when...

    Ok, I get it now...

I am working on something similar on my Vado. Please let us know what you decide on and how the changes impact your ride. I installed my first attempt at this over the weekend. I installed Jones H Bars with a 2.5" rise. I also got the stem from a size small and medium Vado, which is 15mm...

    Mission Control-Failed, again

Mission Control generally works well for me, but it has failed on two of my rides. Both of the failed rides have one thing in common; running Komoot concurrently with Mission Control. I did not need the logging of Komoot, but I did need it's navigation function. I am thinking running the two...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Good morning all! I am wanting to change the stem on my Vado 5 IGH (2022). I am looking to get a shorter stem so my new handlebars (Jones H Bar) will be closer to the rider. The original stem is the Flowset (75mm, 20 degree rise), so it is shaped a bit differently than traditional stems. The...

Enviolo Recalibration Discussion and Speed Calcs

I do not have any data to back this up, but I also feel the recalibration took a small bit off the top end. I would guess 1-2 mph, which is similar to your numbers. That is while keeping the bike in the slow peddle setting. However, I also feel the shifting has improved after the...

Turbo Vado 5 battery removal issue

When I hold down the lever on my Vado, the battery pops out just a tiny bit. Like only a 1/16" or so. But there is enough of a gap that I can work my finger tips in the small opening between battery and frame. A little bit of wiggling back and forth and the battery moves enough so I can pull it...

Turbo Vado 5 battery removal issue

I had problems removing the battery on my Vado 5 IGH (2022) as well. The battery does not pop out much when you pull the lever. Instead, you have to slightly pry the battery out with the tips of your fingers and nails while also pulling on the lever. It doesn't feel natural doing this. But mine...
