Best city ebike..if you live on a hill

I live in a very hilly area in Korea. Granted the extreme steep hill i live on isnt very high, but it is very steep to get there. Possible to ride up with a good mountain bike in 1st gear standing up and cranking it the whole way. I ran into several issues when i wanted an Ebike. The main one...

    Replacing Ebrake?

I have a 2015 Ejoe Epik SE. It is a great folding ebike for the price. To keep the price down many components are bottom barrel. One issue I keep having is the brakes. The levers are DIA-COMPE and the mechanical disk brakes are Zoom 320. The front brake is impossible to adjust properly. I...

    Court, please advise.

I have an Ejoe Epik SE. Great for my use. (Short distances to work up and down the extreme hills of South Korea + Long rides in the parks) Anyway, I will not be able to get another E-bike without both throttle and pedal assist. Pedal assist lets you relax on the long rides, and throttle gives...

How do you lock your Epik SE?

Can someone post a picture of how they lock their epik SE with a U Lock? My Epik SE is on it's way, and I have a New york U lock waiting. Looking at pictures, unless I lock it inside the handle below the seat, it looks like the bike can be dismantled and slide out of the lock.

Questions on how to care for an Ebike

If I want to ride with no pedal assist or throttle help, can i ride without turning the system on, or should I turn it on and set pedal assist to 0? Why do I hear going down a hill with it off is bad?

Questions on how to care for an Ebike

I have a Ejoe Epik SE on order and I have a couple questions before I ride it. My questions are general electric bike questions. The Ejoe epik SE has a LED display with a battery indicator that has 4 levels. (empty)(low)(Medium)(Full) Is running an Ebike battery to empty bad for it? If I have...

How do you secure your ebike?

I have an E-joe Epik SE on order so I am thinking about what I want to do to secure it. Home: Bring it inside. Work: The military base is very safe. I will probably leave a Kryptonite U Lock attached to the bike rack I go to. Going to the store or out and about: This is where it is most likely...

The military will ship whatever I want for me when I leave. Wish I would have bought something before I came here. I am having trouble finding a bike that can ship here. It looks like most of the Ebikes are to large according to USPS. Even the folding ones. Shipping weight has to be under...

Looking for first E-bike. Need advice

I am currently stationed overseas in South Korea. Commuting on a bike is very common, however, my house is up a ver steep hill. So steep most people walk their bikes up it. I park my bike at the bottom of the hill and walk 5 minutes to it. The rest of the hills in the area are more gentle. I am...
