My suggestion is to run Super Moto X tires (2.4's), Mr. Tuffy tire liners, and Slime inner tubes. I run this setup on all three of my e-bikes and I have had ZERO flats in over 12,000 miles of riding. Hope this helps....

I have used to own the Vado SL 4.0 and your review is spot on. For me, the full power Vado 4 is the best deal going, and although I miss the light feeling of the SL, the full size Vado is quiet, smooth, and powerful. Fits my needs perfectly....easily gobbling up 50 to 60 mile treks at a time...

I do like my Prodigy V2 XR (chain) a lot. I purchased it after reviewing some YouTube videos that claimed 73 miles in Tour mode, which is roughly 95% of the total (380%). This was truly a great accomplishment for a 500w battery, as my former Giant Fastroad EX Pro could cover 50 miles at 100%...

I think you will get used to it....it doesn't feel heavy in motion.....I used to own an Vado SL 4, and moved away from it because I needed more support on some really steep hills in my neighborhood.

Oh, I sweat plenty on my Vado 4, but I ride fast, and only in ECO...even on hills. That is the beauty of the Vado 4 and Mission Control...you can tune it like you want. For me, 35/35 (ECO) easily gets me 60 miles per ride, and arriving home with 32 to 34% battery left. Plenty of exercise and...

Ditto all of that. I have a Bosch gen 4, which is great for torque, but noisy. The Yamaha in my sold Giant Fast Road EX Pro, was quieter than the Bosch....but the Vado 4 is darn near silent.

I purchased my second Vado 4 at $3250, and that was a bargain. The current price of $2749 is an absolute STEAL, because this bike out of the box needs NOTHING. Happy riding....

Nice setup......ditto on the Trek 8s. I also own one, no problems to date, and Trek is great with customer service, in my opinion. Also take a look at the Specialized Vado 4 which is on sale. Another option might be the Ride1up Prodigy V2. Hope that helps.

Great point Stefan....I might just consider doing that. I know some folks hate to hear us go on and on concerning Specialized products, but frankly they are just that good. Supreme bicycle engineering. Take care.
